English summer garden wedding at Belcombe Court
Claire and Chris got married at the stunning Belcombe Court in Bradford-on-Avon. Blessed with a perfect sunny summer day, they were surrounded by 125 of their nearest and dearest family and friends for their idyllic English countryside wedding brimming with personal touches.
It was such a memorable and joyful day. We’re so grateful to have captured it for Claire & Chris - we wish you both all the happiness for the future!
Claire and Chris’s dog Pablo and cat Gravy featured throughout the day. Both Pablo and Gravy featured on the stationery hand-drawn by artist Claire. Her veil also included an embroidery of a dog and cat as a special nod to their pets. Pablo also had a staring role in the ceremony as the ring bearer.
A keen gardener, Claire grew many of the flowers herself in her grandparents’ vegetable plot. The primary flowers, sweetpeas were a nod to her grandfather who taught her to cultivate them as a child. Together with her bridesmaids she arranged all the flowers, including her own bouquet, spilling over with roses, peonies and foxgloves.
Claire baked and decorated the incredible four tier cake. Featuring two tiers of lemon polenta drizzle and two tiers of chocolate Guinness, the buttercream frosting was decorated with edible flowers from their garden, handpressed by Claire.
We snuck Claire & Chris away for a few quick sunset photos after dinner. This is one of our favourite things to do - it gives couples a moment of quiet time together, amongst all the day’s excitement. Chris later told us it was his favourite part of the day.
